This is a great picture! Taken somewhere around 1875, it's age shows by the numerous cracks on the old tin-type. My great, great-grandmother Sarah Coyan was a pretty woman. Someone in the family said that she was a tall woman, probably 5'9" or so. This would explain why her son William (my great-grandfather) was 6'2",another son Robert Lee was about 6'6", and a daughter, Rose was almost 6 feet. Check out the fancy dress she has on!

Thanks to Boone & Joy Coyan for seeing to it that I was able to borrow this.
